Job Summary: The Help Desk Technician is responsible for supporting the productivity of company employees by ensuring they have the proper and functioning IT equipment and timely resolving or escalating issues as they arise. This role is also responsible for software updates, involving computer hardware, communications software, or computer applications, installation and troubleshooting. Additional duties include responding to questions, determining the cause of computing issues, and fixing technical problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Support via Phone, Email, Instant-Messaging and Remote-Access
  • Implement new or tested solutions and services to increase company employee productivity, while removing obstacles from achieving productivity.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and decommission company servers and employee equipment
  • Remote Support
  • Inventory Management
  • Services/Solutions Research
  • Account(s) Management
  • Network Support
  • Remove as much Employee 'down-time' as possible by implementing services or resolutions to increase efficiency for all Employees and Departments

Core Competencies:
Windows PC Support | MacOS Support | Windows Server Support | Troubleshooting Skills | Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years or Associate Degree, Windows PC Support, MacOS Support, Windows Server Support
  • 1-3 years or Strong Proficiency; Troubleshooting Technical or Logistical Problems
  • 1-2 years or strong proficiency; Phone Support & Written Communication Skills
  • 1 year or equivalent Technical Expertise/Experience; Office365/GSuite Administration
  • 1-2 years, strong Proficiency or Associate Degree; VoIP Systems

Special Job Dimensions:

  • Remote position
  • Travel for Office Network Setups - 5% (1-2 travels per year)
